Grupo SATA achieves record flight punctuality and regularity in 2011
Published on 17 January, 2012Since flight punctuality (on‐time departures) and regularity (actual versus scheduled flights) are among the key factors in customers’ assessments of airlines, SATA Air Açores and SATA Internacional significantly improved these indicators in 2011, and even achieved record levels of punctuality.
SATA Air Açores’ flight punctuality in 2011 was 88.0% compared to 75.9% in 2010, an increase of 12.1 percentage points, representing an improvement of around 16%.
With regard to flight regularity, despite the significant impacts of Azores weather conditions on its operations, SATA Air Açores saw a noteworthy increase in this indicator of 3.6 percentage points, from 93.1% in 2010 to 96.7% in 2011.
SATA Internacional’s flight punctuality in 2011 was 81.1%, with a flight regularity of 99.5%. These indicators, compared to 2010, when flight punctuality was 69.5% and flight regularity was 97.4%, show increases of 11.6 percentage points for flight punctuality and 2.1 percentage points for flight regularity.

features to recover from delays."
