SATA signs agreement for the sale of computer applications with Mindbury Consulting/TecAngol

Grupo SATA has signed an agreement with Mindbury Consulting/TecAngol to sell three computer applications developed by the SATA Information Systems Department.

As a direct result of the internal development of a number of computer applications being used in various areas of Grupo SATA, and demonstrating the advantages that they bring to the commercial aviation sector, an agreement has been signed between Grupo SATA and Mindbury Consulting/TecAngol for the purchase of three computer applications fully developed at SATA.

The applications in question are:

SGOK, an application for airport operations management, which records the resources assigned to each flight, such as gates, check‐in, baggage belts and stands. In addition, it records the passengers and cargo transported on each flight to calculate taxes for the aerodrome’s managing entity, automatically generating the files to be furnished to the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) with information on completed flights.

The Moving Up application, which registers times to carry out handling activities, namely passenger assistance and apron activities.

The QMSYS application, which records audits, with a workflow process to control non‐conformities and remedial action plans; in addition, it creates checklists with items to be audited, defining the auditors and auditees.

In a period of two years, in addition to references in leading international publications and forums, SATA has been recognized by various partners in the area of new technologies, namely Microsoft and OutSystems, for the outstanding products it has developed internally, used throughout Grupo SATA and now being used by third parties.

The agreement now signed between SATA and Mindbury/TecAngol will allow these three applications to be used in Angola, an emerging market with tremendous potential, and demonstrates SATA’s ability to create, promote and leverage qualified employment in the Azores by exporting specialized services.
